APLOAsia Pacific Linguistics OlympiadThe linguistics olympiad of the Asia-Pacific region, first held in 2019, sat by each participating country at home: five problems in five hours.

UKLOUnited Kingdom Linguistics OlympiadThe UK's linguistics olympiad for school students, with a first round sat in schools at several levels and an invitational Round 2 from which the UK team for the IOL is chosen. PLOPanini Linguistics OlympiadIndia's national linguistics olympiad, from which the Indian team for the IOL is chosen; recent editions set a Junior and a Senior paper that share most of their problems. HKLOHong Kong Linguistics OlympiadHong Kong's linguistics olympiad for secondary students, run by the Faculty of Humanities of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
